DREAMING
Hearing his voice would make me tingle!
Just the thought about him, would put a smile on my face.
Plain stupid comments he'd make about me,
Would make me blush, which I never do.
Seen him would instantly place butterflies in my tummy.
Is that a good feeling or a curse?
I wouldn’t care because I loved the feeling!
Just his simple touch,
Would run cold chills down my spine.
And when we kissed,
My skin would be left all rough,
Covered with Goosebumps.
I couldn’t wait to see him again.
I had to see him again.
I had to feel his breathe again running down my neck.
I had to feel his heart beat against mine.
I had to smell his skin again.
Could it be?
Yeah
It definitely had to be...
It had to be a dream!!!
But wait do you dream the same thing twice?
Do you get obsessed with dreams?
Do you ignore reality and leave in your own bubble?
Do you pray for the dream to come to life and last forever?
Is there even a forever or a happy ever after?
Nope there isn’t!
It’s just how life is set out to be...
COLD
HARD
N
REALISTIC
It wasn’t a princess' dream!!!
No knight n shining amour
Just a lil wounded girl, wanting a fairy tale to come to life!!
Well we never know what turn life will take but one thing is for sure falling in love is hard and definitely cold when falling out of it!!! But we learn n get tougher from it!!!
One thing is for sure,
Dreams do hold a sense of reality,
They make one see the future and it determines whether you build or destroy it!!
But also when we hold onto dreams, they never come true if we just focus on them and not continue with our lives!
Well I missed the signs,
I missed realizing that had fallen in love.
I missed to remember that it was a dream
It was too good to be true
Because it was just a DREAM!
SHOES
It’s interesting how shoes turned from a luxury to a necessity and now an accessory. Over the years we have come to know certain brands, fashion trends and "must haves" in our closets over either a certain season or because everyone else has them on (which to me is just sleazy). We all go crazy when we see a certain pair either coz;
1. Leave u in shivers due to its "AWESOMENESS"
2. Name of the designer
3. You think you'll be the ish and talk of many
But what do you do to the shoe when it tears?
Withers?
Fades?
Pinches you?
No longer in season?
Louboutin got a new model?
What do we do?
1. Throw them away?
2. Mend them
3. Just move on?
4. Get better ones?
People say “life is a journey" but how do we travel?
Well we get through life in a very odd cycle. Just like a child, crawl, learn how to run, then baby steps after several falls to finally balance and feel achieved. You do realize that a baby does own a pair of shoes right, "BOOTIES" (little knitted sock-looking shoes)
Over the years, we go through 1000s if not hundreds of shoes. Some we share memorable moments with them, others are just a curse, others helped you walk through shit (and I mean literally), treasures and others are just normal shoes that are more like....by-the-ways...
What kind of shoe would you say you are????
Think about it????
How many people would you say would call you their designer pair? Hit shoe? Booties? Seasonal pair? Worn out, torn and out in the trash? Or maybe your just a by the way shoe?
I’ve gone through 1000 of shoes and have a story to tell with each.....
Which story do you have to tell?
Be careful when taking a mile for you never know what kind of shoe the person may categorize you....................
What if???
A cry for help,
A cry of sadness,
A cry of sorrow,
A cry of a lonely heart,
A cry of not having what we want,
A cry of hopelessness,
A cry for love,
A cry of pain.
A child raised with morals and values,
A child brought into a world of love,
But has to fight the cruel world all alone.
With all the negativity, judgment and neglection,
With time, as a human you eventually adapt to your surroundings.
Left alone!
Feeling helpless,
Alone,
Scared,
And all alone.
But with the love around, it’s not strong enough.
Fighting and making your own stand to be a force to reckon with was all that the child could do.
Fit in with the others, camouflage and blend in
Wrong crowd but bears a life changing experience that leaves child weak; though strengthen through the inner child.
But wait?
Is it too late for family intervention?
Child is already lost to the world of lies, deceit, pain and insecurity.
No! No! Leave me alone! You’re hurting me
But no one comes to her rescue.
Scarred for life.
Ashamed.
Hurt and in pain.
Psychological trauma? Maybe
Wonders deep into the world.
Experimental,
But doesn’t fill what was lost!
One little mistake and child discovers, she’s alone and nowhere to run to but home.
In pain,
In tears,
In anger,
“Why me?”
Learns the hard way and can’t change the person they are,
Do things get better?
Witness a life threatening situation,
Witness many troopers fall along the way,
Witness oneself in the grave,
“Where am I?” “Someone please help”
I’ve come to realize that in life, so much goes on, the stories we hear about other people are at times scary and yet we still judge them and at times make fun of them.
Question is, 10 years down the line what if this happens to your child?
Or life experiences are like a footpath where we wipe off the footprints and scenarios we wouldn’t want others to experience?
Question, will you be there to listen or judge?
Be the tissue and shoulder needed?

3600 sec
3600
That’s the same as 60 minutes,
Equivalent to 1 hour right?
So much can happen within an hour, a child could be conceived or born, a child learn how to talk or walk, first impression is absorbed and judgment is perceived, one could easily fall in and out of love, have the worst and most memorable moment in your life, get hired or fired and at the same time one’s life could just stop, drop down and die. It’s kinda crazy how events tend to unfold in our lives, don’t you think?
Yolanda just sat there at her favorite coffee house, next to the window, not sure of what had just happened. “Welcome Yolanda, shall I get for you your normal flavored iced latte?” asked the waitress. “Yes please.” Yolanda sat there eagerly waiting for her boyfriend to see her new look and she was excited because they hadn’t seen each other over a long duration of time. Looking through the window, the amazing scene of Nairobi in the evening is such a breathe taking master piece; the sun setting in the horizon, cars everywhere with the locals trying to make their way home, street lights going on, pedestrians everywhere and the vegetation and water foundation at the far corner of one’s eye view…..magnificent would be an understatement. The most amazing thing is despite the hustle and bustle, one couldn’t hear the sounds of the engines roaring or nonsensical cars hooting…you enter your own world all together and forget about what is going on.
“Here you go,” said the waitress bring Yolanda back to reality. “Thanks dear.” She pulled out her book as she waited for the love of her life. ‘I wonder what his wearing today. Can’t wait to be in his arms again and smell him. OMG I hope my hair looks ok.’ Pulls out her little mirror from her make-up bag, touched her lips then it hit her,’ wait why am I so concerned about my look?’
“Hey,” she looked up and her heart stopped for a second; bubbling emotions of joy, excitement every happy emotion one can think of all wrapped up into one tiny petit human body. But he just sat down….no hug...no kiss? OK... “How you? Want to order anything?” “No, not really, I’m actually in a rush. I’m sorry I’ve been silent and haven’t seen you for awhile. Thing is you and I are over. Before you react, I’m not seen someone else it’s just so much is happening in our lives right now and I don’t think it’s the right time for us to be together. Plus I realized, you love me more than I love you……”
WAIT A MINUTE….WHAT??For a second everything froze….Yolanda starred at his lips as he went on and on and couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Massive confusion was bothering her mind that she didn’t hear him ask her, “can I go now?” startled she just nodded her head and he got up and just left. As he walked out, she asked for the bill and left a hefty tip from the change…..
Walking towards the escalator, she glanced at her watch. 60 minutes before she was excited to see the man she was going to say the two words that last for eternity, ‘I DO’ to…have his kids….and 3600 seconds later it was all gone. Heart stabbed and left out in the cold to bleed to death. Everything in her body froze and she couldn’t even open her car without the alarm going off…..she fidgeted with the door and fell onto the ground, crying her heart out that was once alive….” What will I do?” Yolanda was pregnant……..
It’s so true we 1 hour is long enough for us as humans to die and participate in events in our life that can leave us scarred for a moment or for life. Do we really make wrong decisions? Second guess ourselves? Perfect vs. imperfection….. Things do happen for a reason… we just need to know how to work through them if not against or round them…right?

SEASONS
Life has a way of changing just like the seasons; spring, summer winter and fall. Funny thing is that, we all go through these seasons annually but at the same time we experience them emotionally without knowing.
Summer- FULL BLOSSOM in some regions, this is time to get our lightest clothes on, have a break from the normal school routine, relax, party and have fun.
Fall- this is when we see plants wither in prep for the cold weather. We turn into a chilled out mode. Recap on how the summer was and wait for the winter
Winter- everything comes to a standstill. Animals hibernate, plants die, and we struggle to stay in all snuggly warm and away from the cold weather, stuck in with nowhere to go. In some regions it’s the rain. Pours like crazy introducing bugs that drive people mad, shoes get messed; hair is another story all together. We all can’t wait for winter to ever pass.
Spring- this season always brings out new life; fresh beginnings, fresh start for everything. Blossoming flowers…. Explaining spring…..
Now see any relation of the seasons with what we go through?
Winter- when we are faced with situations that hold us back, we try fighting them but find that they are actually bigger than us. We at times tend to shut ourselves away from the world and pray that the snow and rain will go away as soon as possible but all that happens is that the weather gets darker and darker by each second. We try fighting it by keeping warm and yet it still seems to be impossible. We keep praying that the next day will be a better day than today.
Spring- all is clear. We have found a way of working round our issues and are now able to look at people and show case your radiance of success and joy. Moving into a new house, entering a new level in a relationship, getting a better paying job, first day of school, getting pregnant…there are so many instances where we experience spring without knowing. Staring a new life is what spring is all about.
Summer- for me this is working off your butt in order to get what you want. Striving to be the best and at the top; hence all the sweating and perseverance to reach where we want to be. To some extent we have to sacrifice a lot to reach a certain point and at times it’s not beneficial to our own being, but in some twisted way it gets to someone’s advantage. Yeah, there is an element of relaxation but still we are always on our toes, trying to get the right answers, no?
Fall- here we are able to sit down and try and see what we have accomplished? Have I made someone’s day? Is my child happy? Does my better half understand where I’m coming from? Here we take time to chill back and ask several questions as to whether we are close to reaching the pinnacles we had set out to achieve and at the same time making choices that may either make or destroy us
You do realize that we always go through these seasons and at some point we have no idea how to handle them and end up making the most stupidest choices some been relevant others……….well not so irrelevant either question is how do you handle them?

"Knock" "Knock"
Many will question and ponder what "In My Eyes" is all about. Many may thing its just a blog with stories; others just a form of expression; others may just pass by it and not even understand whats going on.
As for me, I wouldn't say what exactly it is and is up to you to be the judge for we have our own perception and see things differently. As for now, all i can say is that In My Eyes are simple life experiences that people in this lil ball we call the world, go through.........
You never know what could happen within a split second when you blink..........
WELCOME TO VIEW EXPERIENCES IN MY EYES
