The
one thing that has hit our Kenyan fashion street these days is BRIGHT colors.
You’ll get boys rocking all shades of bright colored pants, shoes, hair dos and
others go the extra mile of accessories with amazing bright bow ties. I love it
when a dude pulls the nerdy look with a hint of color. I find it a turn on.
There are those men who prefer going the subtle direction and use bright colors
to accessories their looks. You’ll find them wearing a bright colored shirt or African
beaded chain…Then we have the special ones who are just sooo confused and you
see them 20miles away looking like lost clowns left by the circus wagon. Dyed
hair with a Mohawk cut, super bright stunners, screaming colored tee
accompanied with multicolored pants or shorts and some ridiculous shoes…smh
And
the gals’ ain even any better. Especially now with the whole retro feel coming
back up, it’s getting kinda out of hand. You see gals looking all dolled up and
everything! Mix and matching, co-coordinating colors and all then cute chilled
out make up and finish up with the classic pin-up look; fire engine red
lipstick and deep eye color. Honeys, yes you look amazing but for CRYING OUT
LOUD…what’s with the SMOOCHING lip when taking photos??? Like really? Makes you
look anorexic, others like fish while others look like they have boulders pushing
their cheeks in…Do you guys really know how stupid you look? Some of you look
really good while others….yeah….
When
you’re trying to keep up with a trend, really don’t make yourself look stupid.
You can easily look in check with fashion depending on how you blend your
colors. For example if you are in a summery feel, wear something that has
yellows, greens or orange. Like now what is out on the street is really rich
under tone colors. They may be dark but can be made to stand out in their own
way. Especially when you mix them with bright colors but having a neutral base
is very important. I personally love color. One can tell from my nail polish
collection to my shoes and various clothes collection that I have. 1 thing y’all
need to remember is, when you decide to do bold…DO NOT OVER DO IT before you
end up looking like a disastrous walking closet. When it comes to make-up…going
nude at times is like the best option. It shows your natural self and features
some parts of your face that really don’t need to be hidden. I’m into the
pin-up love and God knows how I love looks that come out polished and perfect.
The next time I see you with an insisting pin-up look, I swear I will tell you
to YOUR FACE and not give a HOOT who you are….some looks honestly just disgust
me….
Yo! Telling it like it is!
ReplyDeleteTrue because there is no point of hiding it...
