ARTICLES n COCKTAILS

I LOVE MY ARTICLES SAME WAY I LOVE MY COCKTAILS…
I personally go through articles and at times wonder if it is actually worth reading another article or not from certain readers…It's like when you have a really bad cocktail…would you try another sample? Unless you have faith in the bar tender?
My lectures always taught me, when you write something, always prepare yourself for the comments and take them in be positive, even if they are negative because those comments will shape your writing… But not all people where born writers… those who listen to their critics are the same ones who tend to move on in their quest to be best sellers, others write more to improve on their skills, some are just born writers…and others….it’s just another day at work…
CRITIC LISTENERS….
The people who write the best books, novels, articles and so on tend to have some force behind them. Listening to both negativity and positivity tend to improve the kind of material that you provide to people. Hence we tend to see these same people succeeding in life and end up getting recognition, put out bestselling books and awards. Some even get their books scripted into movies…

SKILL IMPROVEMENT
Others love writing…they write and write and write and even keep the information to themselves… smart choice…well not really, those are introvert characteristics because eventually one day, their stories will be discovered even if its 20 years after you’ve been put 6ft under. On the other hand, there are people who have a talent in writing i.e. the PR writers out their…as for them, I’d say that’s an acquired talent of interest…
BORN WRITERS
There are those who find joy in just writing. It acts as a way of consolation and a channel to air out what they feel in a descriptive manner. You can tell one’s passion form how they write something or express something straight from their mind.

WORK… L
Others just write because they have no option…CAUTION…this will kill you. Most people who write with this reason tend to be bitter when they get feedback that they did not expect… they always want to impress people and always think that they are the best in their field yet they produce nothing but TRASH…

I’m sure we all know of such characters; be it international, local or personal…thinking outside the box, I think writing is like been a chef or a PROFESSIONAL bar tender!! ARTISTRY

A professional bar tender knows how to make spectacular cocktails that may knock your socks off….we have those who just sell beer because they have no choice and get frustrated and all cranky at the end of the night due to lack of ambition and anyway tomorrow will be the same thing they have to do all over again (WORK), those born with a cocktail mixer in their hands(BORN WRITERS), those who experiment the most craziest mixes and keep trying till they get it right (SKILL IMPROVEMENT) and finally those who try and make the concoctions and offer people a sample, get the feedback and improve on them…hence getting well world known cocktails that drive everyone wild (CRITIC LISTENER)

I love reading my articles same way I love my Cocktails…. creative, attractive and leaving me in crave for more…not some cynical amateur writing that needs to be refined and the creator takes offense…

Sorry I just hate self centered EGOTISTIC WRITERS

Please Wake UP...

Friends come and friends do go but family never changes…despite the fights, disagreements, we always come back together and settle out our issues if not just throw them through the window…Family is always there to make fun of you, love you, give you a reality check, make you laugh, make you want to pull your hair strands out, sort you when you’re in a fix, open up to each other…thinking about it, what don’t they do? Through rain and sunshine, stormy weather….
Mwas was one in a million….very social character with a sense of humor, always smiling, full of jokes, random plots, could make you laugh and cry at the same time…asin MWAS was MWAS can’t even define him…
Mwas was a friend to many…he always loved making new friends…everyone knows that…he would have met you like several months before and even though he daen know your name, when you cross paths again he would always halla with his warm bright smile and try and take interest to mask the fact that he can’t remember your name…and the best part of it all was…you never knew until you asked him what your name was…but the dude used to play his game so nicely that catching him was not that easy…
Getting into a fight with this dude was rare coz half of the time he would let it pass but if it was something that really bugged him…he would definitely let you know and I mean LET YOU KNOW… I remember when we used to argue with him and he would push me off the edge that we wouldn’t talk for awhile, when the hot air had blown off we would apologize to each other and move on with life. When it comes to backing you up, Mwas was always there! All his boys’ n close pals know and can even testify to that! The number of fights this guy has been in….true friend I tell u…
With a killer smile, this guy drove mamis mental…n his ka cute face…woiy…but what I loved about him was the fact that he would never shy off from saying he was in love with his mami…! I remember the first time he told me he was in love, I thought he was joking till he started talking about her and you could actually see it in his eyes…I actually can’t describe that unless you yourself witnessed it…funny aspect we used to laugh about was how the mamis used to jazz themselves then rumors start flying around…and what he used to tell me was “let them jazz themselves…”
Definition of random was Mwas…he would come up with the most random ideas and derail you into them without you expecting it!! He was the life of the party and despite the difficulties he would never let an adventure turn sour…dude used to make jokes out of situations that when you think about it you tend to ask yourself “why was I fretting?” Half of the decisions he made; some irrational, stupid, smart, unbelievable, daring… I used to wonder, are you normal???
This guy was a bro to many…and in one way o another he touched so many of us! He made pips feel comfy in their own skin n at home wherever he was at…his relationship with his bros n cuzos used to amaze me cause he taught me the importance of family…no matter what happens, no matter how many fights you fight family holds one together…
MWANGI NDIRANGU, I honestly don’t think you’ve gone…you’re just asleep….asin your contact is still on my call log…we spoke just the other day you can’t be gone…My fav moments with you are like….I donno how many….when we used to hoax each other n argue over stupid things hadi music beats, parking lot pimping in the garage, random plots and derailments from going to class…javing till tmall when I continue with my journey to LA, your dumb jokes, udaku n stories, secrets we shared, your quotes with your cuzos, pranks, random phone calls, you dragging me out in the cold at 7 in the morning…always there to listen to me when I needed a friend n smack into reality…when my mother scared the living day lights out of you….MWAS PLEASE COME BACK n tell me it’s all a nightmare…

Please Help....

I wonder how people can actually look at themselves in the mirror and walk out of the house with the most up hazard for of fashion or hair do! Yet we try and believe that first impressions matter!
The other day, I was walking around the city and the amount of disasters I saw passing me, was not only a shocker but A BLOW TO THE BRAIN CELLS!
CASE 1
I do appreciate plus size people; the curves and all the works, definition of a true African woman I have to say. There those who know how to dress their bodies and others who have no idea what they are doing. Well, we don’t always have to go with what we see is in fashion unless it allows to work with your body type. I saw a lady, very curvy, very beautiful and very uncomfortable. She was dressed in a cheetah spotted jump suit that was two sizes smaller than her and heels she couldn’t walk in!!!! Breathing seemed to be a problem…walking with an oxygen mask for her would be a sign of relief.
CASE 2
Make-up for me is an enhancer! Can make you look 10 times better than what your natural self looks like, hide the unbearable and what I love the most about it; I can actually play around with it and come up with the most coolest designs ever! But why don’t people understand that too much of it makes you either look scary or like a retarded drag queen? A lady, I’d say in her late 20’s had a killer body, amazing legs that were accentuated by her six inch heels, short black fitting skirt with a slit on the side, pink top with cleavage ( in a nice sexy way), clean up hair-do and…..SSSSSSCCCCCCCCCCCCCRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCHHHH
MONSTEROUS MAKE-UP! Her make-up was uneven, not complementing her skin tone, colors where miss matched…..as in she would work perfectly as scarecrow in a maize field…. I was shocked!
CASE 3
We always have the petit girls! Who people always think are the luckiest when it comes to shopping for clothes…. Well, ya’ll are wrong and all my fellow petit girls can testify to that! The funny thing z that some of us also donno how to dress ourselves either! It’s probably wear clothes that make you look like a hanger or wear clad that makes you look smaller than you already are!! The girl I met had a mix of both! She had so much going on that at some point I just got tired of looking at her. Drenched in a coat larger than her shoe size, print clothes that were screaming to kill her physic and the most hideous form of bag I have ever seen…

I ain been judgmental but seriously why do people do that to themselves seriously? Someone please explain it to me or is it attractive?

I'M BACK.......

Been really held up to teh extent that i don't even blog no more...such a shame but well I'm coming back...this time round with more interesting bits n a diffeerent perception of my views on EVERYTHING...SO WATCH OUT....

THOUGHT ON INTENSITY OF COLORS

Currently in an art class this semester and its so interesting how artists can develop magnificent pieces of extra ordinary emotions on canvas o paper. For the common eye, you will not understand what your seen and chances are you won’t appreciate it.
This made me wonder, ‘is this why we don’t have like massive interest in art, fashion, sculptural, musical and just a few to mention galleries in Kenya? As in there is so much one can learn that will leave you, if not in amazement, appreciating the little efforts put into the piece….
Who knew shades of color intensity can present something symbolic? Take a guess on the impact of bright colors as compared to dull… we all know bight light represents:
*      Happiness
*      Cheerful
*      Radiant
*      To some extent cool (shades of blue)
*      Great idea J light bulb)
You know……….
While dark represents
*      Death
*      Dull
*      Bored
*      Depressed
*      Dark/ evil gothic side
So will we say that that’s what most artists go through who use dark colors like black in their paintings??? NOPE….
This is the true perception of what they actually do mean….
BRIGHT INTENSE COLORS
*      Stimulating
*      Uplifting
*      Openness
*      Clarity
*      Appreciates the environment also
DULL INTENSE COLORS
*      Gloom
*      Mystery
*      Seriousness
*      Depression
*      Quietness
And my all time favorite experienced and sophisticated…. How cool is that???

So much can be told from alil piece of art no matter what it is from music to fashion itself; it’s a perception of appreciation and creativity…
I challenge you to just take time and go to any museum of your choice no matter whoever you are in the world and tell me about your experience… was I wrong or right…I’ll be hitting one pretty soon and I’ll definitely tell you of my experience…..
